Dan Sauerwein - Senior Designer & Founder

Growing-up on his grandfather’s farm, Dan knew from a young age that he wanted to be a farmer – to “plant a seed and watch it grow”.

After graduating from Texas State University, Dan spent the next 4 years working in the nursery and greenhouse industry, learning all aspects of plant science. After moving to Dallas and joining Lambert’s Landscape Company, an icon in the landscape industry, Dan was trained in the art of landscape design and implementation.

He spent more than 30 years designing and installing landscapes throughout Texas, with additional specialized work in Florida and California. His experience ranges from urban gardens, luxury estates, and high-rise terraces to large scale ranches and family compounds. In 2012, he was recognized by the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association (TNLA) with the Gold Award for Residential Installation. 

Moving back to the Texas Hill Country, Dan formed Cypress Creek Outdoor Services to provide exceptional landscape designs and installations with peerless customer service.
